Corn Flake Chicken Recipe and pictorial

Posted: November 18, 2008 in Cool Stuff just for you

Ok, another great recipe to try out.  This is a classic, CORN FLAKE CHICKEN

Takes about 20 minute prep time, 45 minute oven time, and however long you take to eat it. 🙂

Here is what you will need:

Chicken Breast- with or without skin
Any type of chicken, thighs, wings, legs, etc.
Corn Flakes
Light or Fat free mayonaise
Seasoning Salt
Montreal Steak Seasoning
Potatoes for Baking
Veggies to steam

A shallow pan to crush your flakes
A potatoe masher to do the crushing
A baking pan sprayed with pam.

Preheat your oven to 350.

Ok, start out by pouring two or three cups of cornflakes into your shallow container.

Then take your potatoe masher and crunch the little critters up until they are the desired consistency.

I try and break them down till they are about 2 or 3 centimeters.

Now, take some light or fat free mayo (you can use the real deal, but it will add many calories)  and put in a little dish.  dip your knife into it and coat the chiken peices with a thin coat of mayo.

Then take your seasoning and put it on the chicken.  I try and lightly season it.

Now take the chicken and place firmly into the crushed cornflakes.  Turn over and repeat.

Then place the chicken in a pam sprayed cooking dish.

Repeat with the rest of the chicken and get ready to put in the oven.

Place it in the oven along with some nice potatoes at 350 for 45 minutes.

Pull out of the oven when the timer goes off, and it should look something like this!

Serve with your potatoe or pasta dish and some steamed veggies, the plate looked like this:

Very yummy and easy to make.  Let me know if you try it out!  Any questions?
